Victorious Team Kenya jet back to the country after conquering Africa Cross Country Championships
The Kenyan team at the Africa Cross Country Championships in Hammamet, Tunisia will jet back into the country on Tuesday afternoon after a dominant performance where they topped the medal table with four gold, three silver and two bronze.
The squad of 30, led by team leader John Wachira, will arrive at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at 2:00 p.m where they will be received by top Athletics Kenya (AK) officials for an appreciation luncheon.
The team won gold in the senior men and women’s races, men’s under 20 and mixed relay, going one better than the last edition in 2018 in Chlef, Algeria where they collected three gold, four silver and one bronze.

Next up for Kenya is the World Cross Country Championships in Belgrade, Serbia on March 30 where they will be hoping to defend their crown won at the last edition of the global competition in Bathurst, Australia.
