Athletics Kenya (AK) is pleased to announce its 2026–2027 competition calendar, outlining a comprehensive programme of cross-country, track and field, road running, mountain running and other athletics events scheduled locally and internationally.
The season got underway last Saturday, October 24, 2026, with the first Athletics Kenya Cross Country Weekend Meeting held at Machakos Teachers Training College. The series will continue across different venues as athletes prepare for national championships, continental competitions and other major events.
The calendar also features key competitions, including the National Cross Country Championships, Kenya National Championships, national trials for major international events and several road races and community athletics activities aimed at promoting participation and developing talent across the country.
On the international front, Kenyan athletes will be targeting major championships, including the 2027 World Athletics Championships in Beijing, China, and the African Games in Cairo, Egypt, alongside other continental and global competitions.
Athletics Kenya remains committed to providing a structured and competitive environment for athletes at all levels while working with its affiliates, event organisers and other stakeholders to promote the growth and development of athletics in the country.
